Strong quake shakes Indonesia's Sulawesi

A large earthquake shook Indonesia's Sulawesi island early on Monday,
damaging some buildings, officials said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties as a result of the tremor,
which measured 6.2 on the Richter scale and hit at 3:10 a.m. (1515 EST Sunday),
the meteorological and geophysics agency said.
Some homes in Palu, a town near the epicenter, had been damaged, an official
at the agency told Reuters
The earthquake was followed by at least two aftershocks and the airport at
Palu, 1,500 km (970 miles) northeast of Jakarta, had been closed, media
reported.
The earthquake comes less than a month after a 9.0 magnitude earthquake in
the west of Indonesia that generated a tsunami, which killed as many as 234,000
people around the Indian Ocean rim.
